An estimated 4.2 million youth and young adults in the U.S. experience homelessness annually.
This figure includes approximately 700,000 unaccompanied minors (individuals without a parent or guardian), according to the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).
Sadly, for countless teens experiencing homelessness due to family conflict, poverty, and involvement with foster care or juvenile justice systems, fundamental needs remain unmet.

In moments of crisis, a safe roof overhead can be the difference between survival and severe risk. Youth homes provide a secure, immediate sanctuary away from the dangers of the street.

Beyond a bed and a meal, these homes offer crucial services: counseling, mental health support, educational assistance, life skills training, and connection to long-term resources. The goal is to address the root causes of instability.

By providing stability and support, youth homes help prevent chronic adult homelessness. They equip young people with the tools and resilience needed to build independent, stable lives.

A supportive environment restores hope. It gives young residents the confidence to pursue education, employment, and healthy relationships, allowing them to transform their lives and contribute positively to society.

Across our communities, youth experiencing homelessness or instability need more than just temporary shelter; they need stability, support, and a path to a brighter future.

Supportive policies and adequate funding are essential for these homes to operate effectively and meet the growing needs in our community.

Without your help, these safe havens face challenges that could limit the number of youth they can serve or the quality of care they can provide.
