DISCONNECT THE PLUG

Youth Substance Abuse Awareness

One Day at a Time!

Life can take you Higher than...  any substance my friend!

Substance abuse among us is a rising concern that affects mental  health, academic achievement, relationships, and future potential. At KC  Grace Foundation, we are committed to educating, empowering, and  equipping young people and their families to resist  the pressures of drugs, alcohol, and harmful substances.

What Is Youth Substance Abuse?

Youth substance abuse is the misuse of drugs, alcohol, vaping products,  or prescription medications by individuals under the age of 21. It often  begins with peer pressure, trauma, or curiosity, but can quickly lead  to addiction, mental health issues, and legal  consequences.

Warning Signs to Watch For:

-Sudden changes in behavior or mood

-Withdrawal from family or friends

-Decline in school performance

-Secretive behavior or lying

-Unusual smells, eye redness, or changes in sleep

Our Prevention Programs Include:

-Peer Support & Mentorship: Positive role models that youth can relate to

-School & Community Workshops: Interactive education to build awareness

-Counseling & Crisis Support: Safe, confidential help for those at risk

-Parental Guidance Resources: Tools for open, honest family conversations

You Are Not Alone:

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use, there is  hope. Recovery starts with one step — reaching out. KC Grace Foundation  is here to walk beside you, free of judgment, and full of support.

Praying for you my friend:

"God, grant me the strength to overcome the temptations I face today. Help me stay grounded in my commitment to a healthier life" - Amen!
